The 2014 Eisteddfod proudly announces the return of the Speech & Drama Division. This follows requests from teachers and practitioners who have demonstrated a strong interest in it.
2014 announces new sponsorships for the Vocal Division: The $2,000 Hawkins Family Song from Stage & Screen, and the MCP Electrical Engineering Aria prize of $1,000. Lake Macquarie Music Society is proud of its strong support from community, business and industry.
Eisteddfods are a great way for our younger generation to gain experience in performing at a high level, in front of a crowd and in a competition setting. Lake Macquarie Music Society this year has the following divisions:
- Piano – 26th to 29th September
- Vocal – 29th Sep to 4th Oct
- Speech & Drama – 14th to 15th June
- Brass and Woodwind Division – TBA
- Community Bands Contest – TBA
- Strings Division – TBA

- The Joyce Blewitt Memorial Scholarship – $450 in prizes
- The Millicent Sketchley Piano Prizes – $350
- The Music Teachers Association Prizes – $400
