Lake Macquarie Music Society is proud to present VIRTUOSI A showcase of exceptional talent in the region. The venue is Adamstown Uniting Church, Brunker Road, Adamstown, now a mecca for fine concerts for all tastes. The church has excellent acoustics and very comfortable seating.
Miranda Arrighi is an award winning violinist with technical and musical flair to delight audiences. Her associate artist is the brilliant young pianist who is the face of the Newcastle Conservatorium Callum Close. Tenor Phillip Costovski is a rising star in the world of opera, and he will sing the Puccini aria, Your Tiny Hand is Frozen. Phillip , Joanna Andrew, Ellen McNeil and Alexandra Moss will represent Opera Hunter in favourite arias, in a prelude to Opera Hunter’s LOVE, LIFE & OPERA to be presented September 5,6,and 7.
The magnificent pianist & organist Liesl Scheman will play favourite works for both instruments, versatile and award winning Hannah Gibbons will play both piano & trombone solos, and brilliant young Chinese brass player Cheuk Wai Lo will perform. Daniel Ott is a young baritone of remarkable sensitivity who moved his audience to tears recently at the Charlestown Raise the Roof concert. The Music Society is delighted to present Daniel in this concert of Virtuosi.
